New to the Clarkston area, Kristin Smith, who holds a doctorate in physical therapy and a CranioSacral Therapy-Techniques certificate, opened Into the Light Healing and Bodywork in March of this year. Smith, who has been a practicing physical therapist for seven years, now blends the healing art of CranioSacral therapy with medical-grade yoga.
"CranioSacral Therapy a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance," says Smith. "With medical-grade yoga, I help restore flexibility and strength with hand-picked postures specifically designed for each client. Blending the two together helps to physically promote the body’s natural healing processes and can be helpful for many conditions including (but not limited to) low back pain, neck pain, headaches, dizziness, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, traumatic brain injury and concussions, autoimmune conditions, nervous system disorders and much more."
"My goal," she adds, "is to help my clients have a more joyful life. I help them work through their pain and then I provide them with the necessary tools and techniques to maintain a healthy lifestyle on their own."
Into the Light Healing and Bodywork is located at 7460 M E Cad Blvd., Clarkston. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call Kristin Smith at 810-441-6686 or visit IntoTheLightHealing.org.
